Sonakshi Sinha plays the journalist who goes from clumsy to cool in her next film Noor. The story revolves around her personal and professional side and highlights the stressful deadline laden side of a correspondent who like most of our elk has little or no life outside of office hours. Her life goes from #partymodeon to #epichangover to #weighty issues and #nolovelife
The film Noor is loosely based on the Pakistani novelist Saba Imtiaz’s book Karachi, You're Killing Me. The book is a document of the underbelly of Karachi one of the most dangerous cities in the world. It is here that the protagonist of the book cuts her teeth as a crime reporter. Noor however is in a lighter vein, from the trailer it seems to be more a light hearted spool out of life rather than a crime thriller. It’s only towards the end that Sonakshi Noor in the film changes gear to investigate a crime.
Directed by Sanhil Sippy, the Noor also stars Kanan Gill, Shibani Dandekar, Purab Kohli in pivotal roles. The film is slated to release on April 21.
