Akshay Kumar on Monday whipped up a storm dancing to the big beat of his 90’s big hit song Tu Cheez Badi Hai Mast for the Machine film. The remixed version was originally picturized on Akshay Kumar and Raveena Tandon for their film Mohra in the 1990’s. The new version is being recreated for Abbas-Mustan's 'Machine', that marks the debut of Abbas Burmawala's son, Mustafa opposite actress Kiara Advani.
The song and the film have a very special place in Akshay’s life as Raveena and he were dating at the time when Mohra was being shot in 1993-94. At the song launch event when the actor was asked about the times he spent with Raveena while filming “Tu Cheez Badi Hai Mast”, the actor joked by saying that he doesn’t remember what he ate last evening, let alone what happened two years ago. However he was quick to add, “It was a great honour working with Raveena. We have done many films together and also good songs. ‘Tip tip barsa pani’ is still one of my favourite songs. It is an amazing song. We have done four-five films and each one has been a hit in its own way.”
Akshay Kumar laso praised the makers of Machine Abbas-Mustan whose film Khiladi gae him the title Khiladi, “I am thankful to them for giving me Khiladi. For me, the ‘Khiladi’ word, ‘Tu Cheez Badi Hai Mast’ and ‘Churake dil mera’ have been very important for my career.”
The song has been originally sung by Udit Narayan and Kavita Krishnamurthy but for the revamped version, which Udit has sung, Kavita has been replaced by Neha Kakkar.
Machine the film was initially expected to hit the screens on March 24, 2017, however, the director duo Abbas-Mustan preponed the release of the film by a week and its now set to release on 17th March
